Not making enough money off the Google ads on your Web site? No problem. Add pay-per-click job listings. Job classifieds search engine Simply Hired on Wednesday launched a service dubbed "Job-a-matic," which lets Web site publishers and bloggers add listings for jobs that are related to the content on their site. The site makes money every time someone clicks on a listing, receiving 30 percent of the revenue generated.

Job listings deliver what people see as a valuable addition to a site, where ads could be considered distracting. The control that Job-a-matic offers could be a clincher for site publishers too, it's far more than anyone who isn't actively selling advertising and vetting each ad would have.

Did you ever want to offer a job board on your blog or Web site and get paid for it? Simply Hired, which bills itself as "the world's largest job search engine," launches today the Job-a-matic publisher network, a service that connects the audiences of blogs and Web sites with the job boards, employers and recruiters that are eager to reach them... Sound familiar? AdSense for job listings perhaps?

I keep mentioning that you should expand your job search and look at all the sites where you might find job listings, because you never know where you will find a good opportunity that's a perfect fit for your background and qualifications. To make that a little easier, SimplyHired, the job search engine, has a new product that enables job seekers to find job listings on sites, like their favorite blogs, that they are already visiting on a regular basis.

I think Simply Hired and Edgeio have done this the right way, because they're taking these listings on individual sites and aggregating them into their search engines, creating far more value to the advertisers. Job Thread doesn't aggregate the listings.

It's a job listings syndication strategy that solves a number of problems for them and others. Publishers (and bloggers) put a module on their sites, which (when clicked) takes you to a white label jobs board that has the look and feel of the site. It essentially is a back end for your own jobs board, because you can solicit listings directly as well.
